Sandeev Sarna

Sandeev Sarna is an operations leader at DTE Energy and serves as a Director in the Electrical Distribution Operations organization. In his role, he oversees the Regional Engineering and Planning group. The team is responsible for the full customer experience, which includes energizing new customers onto the grid, in addition to the reliability and timely restoration of existing ones.

Since 2003, Sandeev has held various positions at DTE. He has led teams in the development and execution of business strategies, meeting or exceeding financial and service level targets, and Storm management. He is Lean and Six Sigma trained and has a passion for applying innovation and technology to the utility electric distribution sector.

Sandeev earned an MBA from The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University. Additionally, he has participated in professional organizations such as Leadership Macomb, Detroit Economic Club (DEC), Michigan Agricultural Energy Counsel (MAEC), and Electric Power Reliability Institute (EPRI).

Continuous learning, acting with integrity and respect, and hard work are the core principles and traits instilled into him by his parents who migrated from India during the 1970s. Outside of work, he is a Husband, father of two wonderful girls, and a pet parent.
