Christopher Sim

Christopher Sim is the Global Purchasing Communications Manager and the Head of Purchasing Communications at Stellantis for North America, India and Asia Pacific, China, and the Global Purchasing Divisions of Powertrain, Body and Interior, Supplier Quality, Purchasing Programs, and Aftermarket. He is also a member of the North America Purchasing Leadership Team and the Supplier Advisory Council, where he leads strategic internal and external purchasing communications, organizational alignment, and cross regional and divisional synergies.

Previously, Mr. Sim served as a Supplier Diversity Program Manager at Stellantis North America Purchasing, where he led diversity sourcing strategies for the Powertrain and Chassis and Adaptation Purchasing divisions. He managed the company’s engagement and partnerships with leading Supplier Diversity Advocacy Organizations, including the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC), Veteran Owned Business Roundtable (VOBRT), National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC), National Veteran Owned Business Association (NaVOBA), Veterans In Business (VIB) Network, Disability:IN, and the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC).

Mr. Sim’s efforts and dedication in Supplier Diversity and Community Engagement have been widely recognized. In 2025, he received the Community Impact Award from APACC. He was honored as a 40 Under 40 recipient by Oakland County Executive David Coulter in 2024 and was named Veteran Advocate of the Year by NVBDC in 2024.

As an advocate for the AAPI community, Mr. Sim serves on the Executive Board of Asians Connected Together (ACT), a Stellantis Business Resource Group with more than 3,000 members representing over 40 Asian countries and regions. In this role, he leads ACT’s community outreach, cultural engagement, commerce, and career development strategies. He also manages major signature events and builds partnerships with external councils and chambers. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Board of the Council of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA), participates in InnovAPACC, a BRG Roundtable Initiative by APACC, and remains active with the Korean American Professionals Automotive Industry (KPAI) group.

Prior to joining Stellantis, Mr. Sim held leadership roles in several global automotive and manufacturing companies. He served as the Head of Buyers at Magna International, where he oversaw High Pressure Aluminum Die Casting program launches and MRO Purchasing for two Cosma Casting divisions. He also served as North America Operations Manager at SIMPAC America, where he held full P&L responsibility. He began his professional career at the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), working as an Assistant Manager and Business Consultant supporting automotive manufacturing companies.

Mr. Sim was born in New York City and moved to South Korea with his family at the age of three. He returned to the United States when he was twelve. He earned his bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies from Columbia University and an MBA from Cornell University SC Johnson.
