Michigan Political Leadership Program

Michigan Political Leadership Program – Application Due Friday September 11, 2015.

The Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University is one of the nation’s premiere political leadership training programs. Nearly 50 percent of the more than 650 graduates of the program have gone on to hold elected or appointed office and roughly 10 percent of the past three Michigan Legislatures have been comprised of MPLP alumni.

The MPLP program consists of 10 weekend retreats in locations across Michigan. Applications for the 2016 class are available now and due in August.

Global Detroit encourages all immigrant, ethnic, minority, and diverse communities to circulate the application and to encourage potential political leaders to apply to the program. MPLP is committed to ensuring that Michigan’s diverse communities have access to this extraordinary training and that we build a more reflective government going forward.
